BIKES

• 1992 Specialized Rockhopper I found in a field and restored. This is my daily rider. It was a single-speed for a while, but my knee couldn’t handle it, so it’s a 7-speed now.
• 2001 Rocky Mountain Soul hardtail mountain bike. I bought the frame on Craig’s List, added a RockShox Dart3 fork, Avid BB7 disc brakes, and a Kane Creek headset to the 3×8 drivetrain with Shimano Alivio derailleurs.
• 1959 Peugout road bike which my grandpa bought new in ’59, and then hung in his rafters from 1972 till 2008.
• I generally use IceToolz in my garage-based bike hobby shop. Dream Theater is the official band of my bike shop. Arrogant Bastard Ale is the official beer of my bike shop.
